Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” Psalm 62:7-8 (NIV)
Who’s your best mate? Most of us have a best mate or a couple of best mates. Best mates are people who you share everything with, they know pretty much all about us, they know our strengths and weaknesses; they’ve seen us at our best and our worse.
Well, in a sense that’s what God wants to be with us, He wants to be close to us, do life with us, be involved in our choices and decisions – be involved in the small and in the big things in our lives. The Bible here is saying this; it says pour out your hearts to Him. Whatever you’re going through right now, good or bad – tell the Lord; He wants to hear your heart, He loves you, He’s there for you, He already know your thoughts but wants to hear you speak to Him and pour out your heart to Him – He wants relationship with you.
Cube Challenge: Get alone with God today. Spend 15 minutes pouring your heart out to Him, thank Him for stuff that’s going well in your life, and bring to Him the tough stuff you’re facing, He’s there to listen to you and already knows the answer to the problems you face.
