Deadman?

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 (NIV)

Have you ever heard anybody say that? “I’m a deadman”. We sometimes jokingly say that when we’re in trouble or we’re going to get told off. Well in a way, that’s what the Bible is saying here. It says when we come to Jesus it’s no longer us who live, we to die to our old way of thinking, of acting and of speaking. It means that to live all out with a heart ablaze for Jesus we no longer keep on speaking negative of people all the time, we no longer keep swearing or watching certain TV programmes, but we get made new on the inside, it’s God’s power in us that changes us. Were now dead to ourselves and its Christ now lives in us and through us. Are a deadman?

Cube challenge: Take some time out today and have a good think about your life. Have a think about some of the areas that God is speaking to you about that you need to ‘die’ to, that you need to ditch so Jesus can live in you even more, so your heart can burn even for Him.
