Strong and Brave

“Remember that I commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid because the Lord will be with you everywhere you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NCV)

Do you find it hard to share your faith with others?

Do you find it hard making a stand for God at school, college, work or Uni?

In this generation there are so many pressures and temptations coming at you, right, left and centre. You may get laughed at and bullied from your friends because you are a Christian. It may be that some of your mates or family aren’t Christians and they just don’t ‘get’ this faith that you believe.

With all of these pressures the temptation can be to keep silent and not share your faith, to not make a big stand for God, shrink back and duck out. You may be tempted to keep your faith very ‘private’ and not share to others what God is doing in you through fear of rejection of what they might think.

But today’s verse tells us to be strong and brave. God is challenging us to step out for Him, to make a stand for Him in a big way – but we can’t be the warriors He wants us to be in our own strength. We need His power and help all the time. Today’s verse also goes on to say; don’t be afraid because the Lord will be with you everywhere you go.

You need to get a revelation of this truth that the Lord is always with you, and can always help you! The more and more aware you get of this truth, the stronger and braver you will become for Him.

Cube Challenge: Ask God to reveal the truth He is always with you and will never you. Let this be one of your prayer points this week – that you get greater understanding and revelation that He is always with you and His power is always available to help you.

Be strong and brave this week! God is with you!
