Healing 101

By his wounds you were healed.”  – 1 Peter 2:24 (ERV)

Did you ever fall down as a kid, tripped up, got cut  or badly bruised? Some of these heal quicker than others, sometimes the scars we got as children we still have as teenagers or adults because the wound was that deep.

This too is true not only for the physical scars we’ve got, for the bumps, cuts and bruises, but also for emotional, mental and spiritual scars we may have, these too can still be seen even as we grow up. The deeper the wound, the longer and harder it can be to heal.

But the beauty of it is that by the wounds Jesus suffered for us, we can be totally healed. This is physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Jesus paid for it all. There is no scar too deep He can’t reach and heal.

This could come in different forms; it could be the words spoken over us as children saying we aren’t clever enough, saying we have no future, the abuse, hurt and heart-ache we may have gone through at home, or even the physical illness we’ve been unable to shake off since childhood – none of these are too great that Jesus can’t touch.

There is a great song that says ‘He wears the scars of our freedom’. This is so true, Jesus took all the junk of this world, all the sin upon Himself, so we can live in His freedom and healing. Be sure of this today, that Jesus is crazy about you, He loves you so much and literally went through hell so that you can be healed.

Cube Challenge: Continue on this week’s ‘GET FIT’ challenge.

Also, have the focus of your prayers on healing today; if you need, emotional or physical healing or know of others that do, ask the Father with a confident, audacious faith, because Jesus has already paid for your healing!

Check out this song, as you pray and praise today!
