“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” – Isa 26:3

Have you ever made something, written something or finished a task that you’ve been completely happy with and thought “wow, that’s perfect!”

It’s so nice knowing that feeling of something being completely done and finished, and more than that, having something done really well. Well the Bible says here that we can know perfect peace.

When the word peace is used in the Bible it really means a feeling of wholeness, completeness, nothing missing, nothing broken, nothing taken away, togetherness and total satisfaction.  Today’s verse says this is available for us today, but the key is that we have to keep our minds steadfast on God. To be steadfast simply means to keep on having our minds drawing on God, it means to keep on bringing our attention and our focus continually on Him.

If you are experiencing a lack of people at the moment, it’s not because of the stuff you’re going through but more about where you put your attention. Put your attention on Jesus, keep your thoughts focused on Him, thinking always about how good He is and what He’s done. You do this and you’ll have more peace by accident than you ever did on purpose before.

Cube Challenge: Keep on following this week’s GET FIT spiritual challenge, and also remember to keep your mind focused on Jesus today. Remember; Know Jesus, know peace – no Jesus, no peace.
