Father of Compassion

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Father of compassion and the God of all comforts, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” –  2 Corinthians 3:5

In today’s verse we have the writer Paul opening up his letter with praise to God because He comforts us in our trouble and he reminds us that when we are hurting to go to one another. All of us have different things that have hurt us and wounded us – we can have things we struggle with in our hearts. It’s so key that you speak to a friend, family member or someone at church about your troubles and don’t keep them bottled up. Keeping them bottled up won’t make it any easier and help them to go away any quicker.

Anyone who has been through hard times can help others or sympathise with them when they suffer because God has shown comfort to them in times of hardship. Get around people like leaders and older people who are going for God who can help you with what you facing and all of the different things that come against you.

Cube Challenge: If there are things that are hurting you or you are struggling with right now why see about getting around a Cube leader or an older Christian you look up to and ask them to pray with you and help you in what you’re going through.

If you aren’t facing many challenges right now; see how you can pour into someone you meet today by showing them the compassion and love of God – think of how you can bless them or lift them up with your words and actions today.
