“I look up to the hills, but where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2
Many times throughout life we can feel helpless, like nobodies cares, nobodies listening, nobodies interested. Have you ever felt like this?
Well it’s in these tough times we need to look at God’s creation, at pictures of the stars, planets and galaxies. When we see things like humongous forests, snowy mountains, massive galaxies and stars and the sheer massiveness of the oceans, we can remember that the God who made all of this loves us and wants to help us right where we’re at today. Today’s verse says that our help comes from the God who made all of these things. The massive, humongous God of the universe is the same God, who sent His son to die for you, and who loves you so, so much.
When you get this truth, it fills you with an amazing hope on the inside that God loves you and able to help you in your situation today – no problem is too big for Him.
1. Remind yourself of the bigness of God, He’s more than strong enough to help you get through what you’re facing right now.
2. Spend at least 20 minutes praying to God – it might seem like a lot, but push yourself, you can do it. The more you get in the habit of doing this, the stronger you will become on inside, more able to face the stuff life throws at you.
