For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. – Mark 10v45
Sometimes the temptation can be to think everything is about us.
We can get to Cube or Church and be so focused on rating how good the worship was, the talk at the end was, whether or not we ‘got anything from it’. But really the problem with this way of thinking is that we can sometimes think coming to different events to meet with Jesus is all about us, when in actual fact, it’s all about Jesus. To thank the Father for all He’s done, to praise Him, to lift Him up, to sing, shout, dance and celebrate Him.
When it comes down to it, it’s all about Him not us. We should be people who have the attitude of Jesus, in how we live. Today’s verse the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve. Jesus didn’t come to earth thinking about only Himself. Jesus modeled a life, that was totally selfless and aimed to please the Father and to serve others.
We should be people who live too in this way. Looking to serve God and thinking about what pleases Him, and to lay down our issues, attitudes and problems and look to the needs of others. We should prayerfully ask God to help us be more like Jesus in being more focused on others more than ourselves, thinking of ways to serve, help and encourage others.
Cube Challenge: As you go to Cube today, ask God to show you a person you can help, a group of people you can encourage or a practical task you can do. Come on guys, serve like JESUS!!
