Have a healthy heart

“I trust in your love. My heart is happy because you saved me. I sing to the Lord because he has taken care of me.” Psalm 13:5-6 (NCV)

We see so many ads these days about how to look after hearts; about what to eat, how to exercise, etc. You might even get taught on it at school, college, Uni or work.

The Bible too gives us advice on looking after our hearts. Obviously the Bible is not talking about your physical heart, which pumps blood around your body, but your heart. Your heart is the very core of who you are. How can you have the very core of who you are happy, healthy and in good working order? Well for us to say our heart is happy, we need to be people who are fully surrendered to Jesus. What does this mean practically? Well put simply, it means every day; making a decision to run away from temptation, choose not to sin and to ask the Holy Spirit to help you to live as Jesus did, so Jesus’ life shines through you, and you begin to shout God by how you live.

Cube Challenge: Do those 3 last things we mentioned to today: 1. Makes decisions today to run away from temptation. 2. Keep yourself from sinning. 3. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you live Jesus did wherever you go today.

When you daily do these things, you truly will have a happy and healthy heart that will burn for Jesus.
