Getting stronger . . .

Psalms 144:12 – Let our sons in their youth be as grown-up plants, And our daughters as corner pillars fashioned as for a palace

Have you ever met someone who’s easily swayed by other people?

They might say they want to do something and refuse certain things, but when mates come along with another suggestion, they too easily give in to peer pressure and the opinions of others.

You yourself might have felt like this from time to time in your own life.

The truth is God has so much more than this for our lives and He wants to strengthen us to get to this place where we aren’t swayed easily by peer pressure, the opinions and gossip of others, but where we can get to place in God of strength and consistency.

Sometimes you might feel like a failure or that you regularly ‘flip- flop spiritually’, but God wants to help you right where you’re at to take you to the next level in Him.

Don’t be discouraged, you can do this! You can know God’s strength! But this comes by digging deeper into God; the more you spend time in His presence and dive into His word, the more you will feel strength come to you on the inside, and like today’s verse you can be a grown-up plant (with deep roots) or a strong and immovable corner pillar.

Come to God just as you are, with all your mess, junk and weaknesses and He can bring strength in your life and take you to the next level in Him.

Cube Challenge: Look to Jesus today, intentionally spend some time alone with Him. He understands you weaknesses, but He wants to strengthen you, ask Him for the strength needed to not only survive the rest of this week but to thrive for Him!
