‘A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense’ – proverbs 19v11

In life we can all face challenges and offenses that come our way. Even in following Jesus there can be times that people let us down, betray us, gossip about us and hurt us. These things can weigh down upon us and make us feel down, discouraged and even bitter. But with Jesus, it’s so important we get better and not bitter.

Today’s verse points out how to do this. It says this; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense. This isn’t always easy but with God’s strength it IS possible. You may think ‘man, I just can’t forgive this person’ , ‘they’ve hurt me soooo bad’. But the truth is no matter what someone has done to us, God can help us to overlook an offense, which means that we mean chose to respond or react to thing someone has said or done.Make sure the offenses you face are OVERLOOKED!!

Cube Challenge: Spend some time with God today – ask Him to help you overcome every offense that has been done to you, so your heart is pure before Him.
