“How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked.’ Luke 8:5
When Jesus asks this question, He isn’t making a lunch order for Him and His friends. In fact, He is sat on a hillside with over 4000 people and they all need lunch! Jesus is then given someone’s lunch box and uses it to feed everyone there – with left overs! Have you ever looked at a situation and thought, how on earth can this be changed? Maybe a situation at school, college or uni, or maybe something connected with social justice. We don’t have to wait until we are “ready” to begin to change the world. You don’t need to be a leader, preacher or pastor either. All Jesus needs is a heart that says “this is all have Jesus, if you can use it, it’s yours.”
Jesus is asking you this question today, “how many loaves do you have?”
Cube challenge: Think about the answer to the question. What things do you have that God can use? It may be drama or dance, playing an instrument, being good with computers or just talking to people who you don’t know. What ever it is, when we give the little gifts we have back to God, He can do amazing things with them.
