“When our ancestors were in Egypt, they gave no thought to your miracles; they did not remember your many kindnesses, and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea.” – Psalm 106v7
Ever been out somewhere, like to the Cinema with your mates or out for a coffee and you realize you’ve forgotten something important like your wallet, purse or Mobile?
It feels like the worst thing in the world at that moment forgetting something that is so essential and important. Well forgetting the goodness of God is more much important than everyday things like our wallets!
Today’s verse shows us some of the dangers of spiritual forgetfulness. This verse describeS how when the people of God in the Old Testament part of the Bible, forgot all of the miracles and many kindnesses (all the good things God had done), they rebelled against God and turned their back against Him, because they forget how awesome He was, and all the great stuff He’d done for them!
It’s so important to never forget what God has done through His word, in your life, in the lives of others and at Cube – when you remember what He’s done it’ll make you want to love Him all the more. But the key is intentionally remembering all He’s done.
Remember; ‘never, ever forget’ – all He’s done for you!!
Cube Challenge: Spend about 20 minutes today intentionally reminding yourself of everything God is, has done and is doing. Don’t forget to thank and praise Him! He’s a mighty God.
