“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” – Heb 13:5
Some of us have been in a place when we love someone who just does not seem to love us back. Whether it was just a crush, puppy love or if you genuinely wanted to spend the rest of your life with that person, if they don’t love you back you are probably going to feel pretty down. And sometimes the best thing to do in that situation is to leave them alone and let your feelings die.
Most people would agree that if you love someone that does not love you back it might be time to move on. Sadly today for many people their love is money. Even though money may seem like it can solve all your problems, loving it will make you feel terrible because money will obviously never love you in return. Trying to find your satisfaction in money will never fulfill you and will ultimately leave you more empty.
But there is an upside, there is a God who loves you and will never stop loving you. Because God says “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. He definitely deserves your love.
Cube Challenge: So today’s task is to write a list of the things that you love more than God. (Be honest with yourself!) When that list is done pray that God will become number one in your life! Only Jesus’ love can truly satisfy!
