“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5 (NCV)
Sometimes in life we can look at a particular situation and think, ‘ I’ve got this figured out on my own’.
We can look at difficult situations or problems and rely on our own strength to solve the issue. There are also times in our lives when we have big, important decisions to make and instead of asking God what to do, we might not actually say it out loud, but we can think in our heart; ‘I’ve got this one figured out, I know what I’m doing’ – and in doing this we leave God out the picture.
But today’s Bible verse is awesome, it challenges us to put our trust in God and rely on Him alone, instead of doing things in our own strength. God is perfect; He never makes mistakes or wrong decisions, if we ask Him, He will always lead us along the right path, we may not understand it at the time, but the truth is He’s God.
He’s wise and big enough to create every the phenomenal detail of our bodies, the entire world, the planets, the sun, moon and stars, and He holds them all together – He knows what He’s doing! We can trust Him with everything.
